My great grandfather, Joseph Barnes, was an entrepreneur, real estate investor and, most importantly, a proud small business owner. He owned a successful restaurant in Philadelphia, which survived the Depression and continued to thrive after. He saw firsthand the value small businesses were able to bring to the local and national economy and passed those values onto his family.

Following in his footsteps and keeping his vision alive, I created J Barnes Consulting Group to help small businesses grow and develop creative solutions to the challenges they face. 

I have developed the knowledge and skill set to successfully launch and scale small businesses through both first hand experiences and formal education. During my time at Georgetown University as an undergrad and LSU, where I earned my MBA, I learned the foundational components of a successful business.

Just like my great grandfather, I value small businesses and believe every business has the ability to reach their full potential with the right knowledge, tools and mentorship.
